The Garden as a Sanctuary of Strength

The world feels heavy some days. News cycles spin faster than the seasons, and the noise of it all can wear us down.
But there’s one place where the noise always fades—the garden. When I step into the garden in the early morning, before the sun burns away the mist, I can almost hear Creation breathing. The soil, the birds, the quiet hum of life—it all speaks peace. And when my hands find the soil, I connect with Creation.

Genesis reminds us that “The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.” (Genesis 2:15). It’s no accident that Man was created in a garden. And the work God gave Adam was not a curse—it was a vocation…a calling. Our Creator knew that tending to life brings healing to our bodies and clarity to our minds because it draws us back into rhythm with His Creation.

This is my hope for every participant in our workshops at Vine and Fig Tree: Our new friends may arrive burdened, hurried, distracted. But by the end of the day, after learning to plant, prune, or harvest, we hope something changes for them...and they rediscover the peace that was waiting for them all along—just beneath their feet.

If you’re longing for that peace, come join us for our next Gardening Workshop.
Come get your hands dirty with us. Come cultivate skills and harvest peace of mind.
