Under the Vine and Fig Tree

When I first named this place Vine and Fig Tree Homestead, it wasn’t a marketing idea—it was a prayer. A hope that what we built here would reflect the promise of Micah 4:4:

“But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid.”

That verse paints a picture of peace that feels almost revolutionary in our restless age. It’s not about retreat—it’s about right relationship: with God, with land, with one another. Every workshop, every seed planted, every meal shared beneath the trees brings that vision closer to life. When you see a family learning to garden, or a neighbor trading jars of honey for soap, you realize this isn’t nostalgia—it’s renewal.

True peace isn’t passive. It’s built, one act of faithfulness at a time. The vine and fig tree are just symbols—but the hands that tend them, the hearts that rest beneath them, make the promise real. Peace isn’t just a feeling—it’s something you grow.

If you’ve been seeking that kind of peace—the rooted, fearless kind—I invite you to join our Vine and Fig Tree Community. Start with a workshop…and if it feels right come back often. Together we’ll keep learning, sharing, and growing into the vision Micah described: a people living securely, gratefully, and free.
